Rachael & Zack’s Wedding at Grace | Portland, ME

Happy New Year, friends! We at AFA sincerely hope your year is off to a wonderful start.

Now that a host of craziness and hard work is behind us and we have officially launched our brand new website, https://www.afamilyaffairrentals.com/, we are excited to resume our regularly scheduled programming here on the AFA Blog!

Believe us when we say: The first wedding now that we’re back in the blogosphere- and of the new year- is a beauty.

Rachael and Zack were married on May 31st, 2025.

The day began with Rachael and Zack getting dolled up for their big moment. Champagne, laughter, and small touches made for an absolutely lovely time!

The happy couple chose to do a First Look. If it’s not your first time on the AFA blog, you already know that we adore when couples opt for a First Look- it’s such a perfectly intimate moment for the bride and groom before all the excitement of the big day.

What was the best part of the planning process?

Working with Jordan, our wedding planner, and having our vision come together.

Natural light poured in as Rachael and Zack’s ceremony commenced. It was an intimate affair, overflowing with intention, commitment, and love.

Any advice for couples on their wedding day or throughout the planning process?

Enjoy the build-up and being the center of attention. I know it is so hard to have everyone watching you. But it goes by so fast, and you deserve to enjoy every bit of the attention and celebration.

The pillars for Rachael and Zack’s wedding, without which the wedding could not stand, were the loved ones who came to share the day and celebrate the bride and groom. Adrianna of Adrianna Lynn Photography did a simply wonderful job of capturing the love shared between all!

Reception at Grace!

The day continued at historic Grace in Portland, where Rachael and Zack shared their first dance as bride and groom.

Upon entering the historical, sprawling space, romance and charm were everywhere you looked. Candlelit tables, florals by Of the Fields, white tablecloths, and some very fun touches- can you say ‘personal chips and salsa’??

What did you love most about your venue?

The stained glass windows, the bar, and the mezzanine.

Rachael also noted loving the food by Bird + Co, and the band, Plush, who played for the guests as they partied the night away in celebration of Rachael and Zack.

It was an honor to help your day come to life, Rachael and Zack, and we at AFA wish you all the love and happiness for 2026 and beyond!!
