Organize. Gather. Process. Repeat. Produce.

I’ve been doing so much of the above that I wasn’t able to stick to my goal of bi-weekly blog posts.  Gentle as I go.  I love to write, it just happens to be low on the priority list as we prepare for what is yet to be our biggest year.  We’re so excited for our Clients as they get ready for their big day, and we have been blessed with some of the kindest and most amazing families to work with.  Their stories are inspiring and each are more unique than the next.

As each group of us prepares for their day, meeting with vendors, keeping up with emails and phone communication, sharing thoughts and ideas…there are these moments of hurry and still at varying times.  Finding a life/work/wedding planning balance amongst the deadlines, spreadsheets and to do lists is so important in order to make room for fully enjoying these days that require such preparation.  Over the years I have worked with such incredible go-getters: usually ones that decide to marry the same year they buy and rehab their first investment property along with getting their MBA’s or plan a move out of State.  Maintaining good organizational skills while juggling an immense workload is challenging at best, but what can be even more difficult is finding time to just be…to take in all the good that is happening.  My babies are becoming independant little and big girls and I am so proud.  Being able to do what I love while watching them grow leaves me elated, with a full heart and a tired body!  So grateful am I.  Here’s a little of what we’ve been up to:

We make every effort to keep you up to date with blog posts, but are you following us on Instagram or Pinterest yet?  It’s the quickest and easiest way to stay informed of what we’re up to and what inspires us.  Speaking of Pinterest, stay tuned for another post (soon!) on this controversial site relating to party planning, projects and DIY.

I am a passionate mother, a grateful and loving wife, an appreciative daughter, a stupendously lucky granddaughter, a very proud sister, a fortunate friend and a constant desire to live creatively, be inspired and share the love. I am also the owner and Creative Director of an event planning and prop rental business, A Family Affair of Maine. Here I aspire to share my professional experience as a party producer, host, designer, coordinator, promoter, craftsman, chef, Mom and partner in crime, not in that specific order.
